Copag to supply playing cards at 2016 WSOP

Written by Ben Blaschke

Leading playing card manufacturer Copag will return to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in 2016 after the company signed a new multi-year agreement to be the official playing card of the prestigious tournament series.

The news will come as good news to players who were left frustrated by the flimsy cards supplied early in last year’s series by Modiano. The Italian supplier was eventually forced to send higher quality cards for the second half of the WSOP.

Copag will spread its best quality playing cards from the outset of this year’s WSOP, including two unique set-ups that will be featured for the very first time in WSOP history.

“Putting quality playing cards on the tables at the WSOP is one of the most important elements of the entire event,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart. “We’re extremely pleased that Copag, given their track record to successfully supply some of the top poker tournaments in the world, will be the World Series of Poker partner in 2016 and beyond.”
