How would you feel about placing a bet on Galaxy Macau’s baccarat ta-bles while relaxing on the Galaxy Resort Deck? Or letting your video game skills determine how much you win on a slot machine?

Just as technology continues to revolutionize the way we communicate, travel and shop, so too the gaming world is embracing the future with a num-ber of groundbreaking new games and concepts set to hit casino floors in the coming months. In Las Vegas, MGM is currently trialing a new app that will allow players to bet on selected real-life gaming tables from anywhere in the property via their mobile phone, without ever having to approach the table itself. Likewise, the first skill-based slot machines have been installed in At-lantic City, featuring classic video games such as Space Invaders and Frogger. When the feature hits, the amount of money won is determined in part the player’s own skill rather than just a random number generator.

In this issue of WGM we take a look at an incredible new slot machine coming to Macau soon, Sphinx 4D. The name says it all – this is a true 4D experience that will not only spark all your senses but blow your mind at the same time.

It could well be an early glimpse into the casino floor of the future.
