Macau’s China Rouge officially back in business

Written by Ben Blaschke

Galaxy Macau’s famous entertainment bar and lounge, China Rouge, is officially open for business again.

Having closed its doors to undergo an extensive renovation last year, the new China Rouge re-opened this week boasting a revamped entertainment line-up that includes artists from China, Asia and beyond playing smooth and cruisy live music for guests to relax after long day of work. It is the first time it has been open to the public, having previously been a private member’s club.

China Rouge has also introduced a new food and beverage menu. This includes a tasty list of signature cocktails such as the “Eastern Fashioned” containing a large measure of Johnnie Walker Black Label, Mandarine Napoleon Liqueur, orange juice, a dash of Old Time Aromatic Bitters and infused Grand Marnier with dry tangerine – all gently stirred and served with an ice ball! Wine lovers can also choose from a list of boutique wines and champagnes.

The venue retains its old style, which aims to provide the glamor of old Shanghai with a twist of contemporary art, design and modern amenities. The interiors are designed by leading designer Alan Chan and inspired by seminal Art Deco painter and designer Erté.
