We start the year’s tipping at the tennis where preparations for the first Grand Slam event of 2016, the Australian Open, are well underway.
Today sees one of the Open’s lead-up events, the APIA International in Sydney, getting underway and we like the look of Roberta Vinci against local hope Sam Stosur.
Stosur has traditionally struggled to produce her best tennis on home soil and a second round exit in Brisbane last week suggested that trend will continue in the coming weeks. It doesn’t bode well against 2015 US Open finalist Vinci who should be too strong here.
