Dutch giants Ajax will be looking to put the disappointment of being eliminated from this year’s Champions League during the qualifying rounds behind them when they host Scottish giants Celtic in their first game of the lesser Europa League tonight.
Both sides have enjoyed strong starts domestically but it’s been a long time since Celtic have made any noise on the European stage and this looks a tough ask for them once again. Ajax sit atop the Dutch league after five games with four wins and a draw – scoring 14 goals while conceding only two in the process. They should be far too strong here.
