Another huge sporting weekend starts early today as Australia host New Zealand in the second cricket Test in Perth. A rapidly improving Kiwi side was expected to pose a huge threat to the home side this series but were surprisingly poor in Brisbane last week – which doesn’t bode well on a fast and bouncy Perth wicket that should favor the Australians even more. We tip another win for the locals.
Nordic rivals Sweden and Denmark go head to head on Saturday night in the first leg of a clash that will decide which one of them progresses to next year’s European Championships in France. We’re expecting a low scoring game here with both sides looking to avoid disaster ahead of the return tie next week. It’s worth noting that the Swedes have failed to score in their last five meetings with the Danes and all of those five have gone under the 2.5 goal line.
Finally, we’re sticking with a good thing as Tom Brady and the Patriots travel to New York to battle the dangerous Giants. Despite the home side having made some progress this season, can anyone beat Brady right now? The Patriots sit 8-0 on the back of last year’s Super Bowl success and should be able to cover the line again here after easing past Washington by 17 last week.
