Good Food Guide: Sudeste Asiatico Torre de Nove Pisas

Written by The Panda

I’ve been to this restaurant twice now, which mainly supplies Southeast Asian food. People can enjoy the local delicacies of countries such as Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and so on. I first ordered Thai raw shrimp salad as an appetizer. The shrimp are big, fresh and sweet.

Together with a specially made sauce, it is very appetizing. I like food with a strong flavor, so fried squid with Sambal and fried clams with Sambal are right up my alley. Sambal is a kind of chilli sauce in Southeast Asia. It is made of more than 10 kinds of chilli and includes ingredients such as small shrimp, garlic, dried onion and so on. The taste is superb.

In addition, I ordered grilled pork neck and pineapple fried rice. Both of them taste good, but perhaps because I go to Thai restaurants quite often I didn’t feel they were particularly special. I do recommend the famous Singaporean dish Chilli Crab, which comes as a big portion and is great value. The sauce is sweet and sour with a touch of spicy taste. The crab meat is very tasty and the remaining sauce can be used as a dip for bread. Delicious!
