Pak Loh Chiu Chow returns to Galaxy Macau

Popular Teochew restaurant Pak Loh Chiu Chow has reopened at Galaxy Macau.

Having briefly closed down to allow for the construction of Galaxy Phase II, the new Pak Loh Chiu Chow was unveiled this week and features traditional Teochow décor including red and gold themes, an extensive use of wood and folding patterned screens.

Having originally opened in May 2011, Pak Loh Chiu Chow is renowned for drawing on Teochow traditions in the preparation of its food with classic dishes including the likes of cold crab, oyster omelette, pan-fried pomfret fillet, stewed conch and hand-beaten fish balls.

Executive Chef Chan Wah Yin has also returned, having overseen the development of the original restaurant after moving across from its Hong Kong branch in 2010. Chef Chan learned the art if Teochow cooking frim his father when he was a child and has more than 35 years’ experience in the kitchen.
